Baseball's biggest stars fill warm late spring nights with excitement as the Milwaukee Brewers face off against their Major League opponents in Miller Park. Visit the Fan Zone, home of Autograph Alley, an exhibit featuring baseballs autographed by baseball legends and the Kids Zone, a special interactive playground for the younger fans.
Not all the Wisconsin baseball action is found at Miller Park. Minor league baseball stands throughout the state are filled with fans almost every night during the late spring and throughout the summer, meaning that great baseball is never far away. A Class "A" affiliate to the Minnesota Twins, the Beloit Snappers hit the grass of Pohlman Field for the first time in 1982, and they have been giving the crowds something to cheer about ever since. Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers continue a more than 112-year history of professional baseball in Appleton. This Seattle Mariners affiliate has produced such famous names as Rich "Goose" Gossage, Cal Ripken Sr. and coach Earl Weaver.
In one of the best displays of future talent anywhere, several teams throughout Wisconsin are part of the Northwoods League, an NCAA-sanctioned summer baseball league comprising top college players from the Midwest and across the nation.
Dubbed "The Duck Pond" by fans, Warner Park plays host to the Madison Mallards throughout their summer season, entertaining fans with a combination of great baseball and special events for the whole family. A recent addition to the Northwoods League, the La Crosse Loggers challenge the competition in Copeland Park, a.k.a. "The Lumber Yard." Meanwhile, the sluggers of the Wisconsin Woodchucks in Wausau continue a tradition of great baseball action and fun for all ages at Athletic Park.
