Burnett County

Prairie landscapes and picturesque wetlands distinguish the area around Grantsburg in northwestern Wisconsin’s Burnett County. The 30,000-acre Crex Meadows Wildlife Area lies just north of the village. To its west is the wild beauty of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Miles of trails and old logging roads throughout the county afford wonderful opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, nature study, biking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
