In southeastern Waukesha County, the community of Eagle nestles up against the eastern edge of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which preserves this remarkable glacial landscape in near-pristine condition. The town is an ideal base for hiking excursions and outings to neighboring attractions. One of these is Old World Wisconsin, a 600-acre “living history museum” that showcases 65 historical buildings in five ethnically-themed villages. Nearby, in East Troy, tour the extensive trolley collection of the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum. The museum offers a ten-mile round trip from their historic depot.
