Lincoln County

The town of Tomahawk in Lincoln County is a gateway to the Northwoods, combining urban conveniences with the appeal of the beautiful North. On display in the local chamber of commerce office is a huge stuffed bear, said to be the largest killed in Wisconsin with a bow and arrow, and the third largest in the world.

Take a day trip 25 miles south to Merrill, along the scenic route that follows the Wisconsin River. Check out Council Grounds State Park, and visit the Lincoln County Courthouse with its local historical exhibits.
