Discover the fascinating history of Wisconsin’s capital city in the architecture and historic places of the isthmus, State Street, and historic neighborhoods. The Madison Trust for Historic Preservation offers walking tours of a number of Madison neighborhoods. Walking tours last between 1 and 1 1/2 hours in length and are available on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. No reservations are required, simply show up at each tour’s designated starting point. Our interactive tours are given by experienced and enthusiastic docents. Docents are ready rain or shine.
