Portage Canal Industrial Historic District
Located adjacent to the Portage Canal, the Industrial Waterfront Historic District originally functioned as a complex of industrial, commercial and retail properties. The Wentworth Grain Elevator, now the Sunnyside Feed Mill, was established as early as 1862. The northern border of this National Register District is the Portage Canal, which was completed by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1876.
