Campground Cabins - Try Your Stay in a Camper Cabin
Last Updated: 7/21/2014
If you want the camping experience without having to sleep in a tent or rent an RV, then we’ve got the solution for you. Campground cabins provide the same rugged, outdoorsy-feel but are one-room cabins that come with a fire pit and picnic table and shared restroom facilities. Here are a few of Wisconsin campgrounds located around the state offering camper cabins to rent.
Hixton/Alma Center KOA’s Kamping Kabins sleep four to six people and restrooms are just a short walk away. Located in Alma Center, this KOA is exceptionally peaceful with its gardens and surrounding woodland. Being nestled in the foot of the Silver Mound National Historic Landmark gives campers here some extra special scenic views. This KOA offers a heated pool, coffee shop and a pancake breakfast on Sunday mornings. Here you will be close to many boating and fishing opportunities on the Black River and on Lake Arbutus.
Camp on an island of the Chippewa Flowage at The Lake Chippewa Campground, located about 30 minutes from Hayward. Tow the boat or bring the fishing poles because the many bays and small islands make this a dream location for boaters and anglers alike. The campsites are right on the shoreline, a top spot for great fishing! These camper cabins sleep up to four people with electrical outlets available and a cozy front porch.
Arrowhead Resort Campground’s location in Wisconsin Dells means you can expect a family-friendly place with a ton of amenities including swimming pool, volleyball and mini golf on-site. Camp activities like movie nights ice cream socials, hayrides or even a summertime visit from Santa Claus keep the kids entertained. And, of course, just minutes away are all the exciting waterparks and attractions of Wisconsin Dells. When reserving your camper cabin, be sure to ask for deals on Noah’s Ark Waterpark packages!
Wagon Trail Campground - Ellison Bay
Wagon Trail Campground is located in the beautiful Door County Peninsula within walking distance to Lake Michigan, Newport Beach State Park and the Mink River Nature Conservancy Preserve. Take the walking trail to Sand Bay Beach Town Park that offers a shallow sandy beach that’s great for kids. Their camping cabins are lovely but rustic two-room cabins with a double bed in one room and two bunk beds in the other, sleeping up to six people. The cabin is complete with a covered front porch and a fire ring right out front.
The 65-acre Peshtigo River Campground is located in Marinette County, Wisconsin’s Waterfall Capital and nature’s answer to the man-made waterpark. Kick back and relax with a tubing or canoe trip on the Peshtigo River. Rentals are right on site. Other campground activities to enjoy include volleyball, horseshoes, mini golf and water ski shows. Find horseback riding, whitewater rafting and the area's famous 14 waterfalls nearby. Camping cabins come with electricity, fire pit and picnic table. This entry was posted in Cabins & Cottages
