Waterfront Condo Vacation Rentals Provide the Best of Both Worlds

Going to a cabin on a lake is a long-standing Wisconsin tradition. But it usually means a lot of work, too – bringing gear, buying supplies, and packing sheets and towels. Cabin living can also mean no internet, no Brewers, and no Packers (argh).
If you’d rather enjoy the outdoors with less hardship, rent a condo on a lake. Wisconsin condos provide comfortable, even luxurious surroundings – pillow-top mattresses, fresh bedding and linens, upscale kitchens and bathrooms, fireplaces, wifi, big-screen TVs, and of course cable! Other amenities include canoes and kayaks, bicycles, volleyball and tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The lakeshore or beachfront is usually only a few steps from your door. At night, on the balcony overlooking the water, you can watch the stars light up the sky.
There are plenty of condo developments on lakes across Wisconsin, so contact the chambers of commerce or visitor and convention bureaus in the areas that interest you for condo recommendations. To get you started, here are some waterfront condos that could just be the perfect destination:
This lakeside retreat, located on Lake Michigan, is ideal for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Indoor options include a full-service spa and a waterpark. Rent bicycles to see the area and enjoy refreshing cocktails on the lakeside patio when you get back.
Located on 2,800 feet of sand beach frontage on Kangaroo Lake, The Rushes provides complimentary sailboats, canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, and fishing boats. Each unit comes with a fieldstone fireplace, private sun deck, and gas grill. There are plenty of places to hike, including the Kangaroo Lake State Natural Area.
All condo units have an eastern view to catch the Door County sunrise. It’s tempting to spend all day in the big beach chairs, relaxing and watching the waves. If it’s a bit chilly coming back from the lake, the heated pool and sauna will warm you up. And don’t miss Whitefish Dunes State Park, just two miles away.
If golf is on your wish list, this is the perfect spot—Castle Rock Lake on one side and an 18-hole championship golf course on the other, with seven holes that are replicated from famous PGA courses. Explore the lake with fishing boats, pontoons, paddleboats, or waverunners that can be rented from the resort. This entry was posted in Condos & Vacation Homes
