When it comes to Halloween parties, it doesn’t get much bigger or better than Freakfest in Madison, widely known to be one of the largest Halloween celebrations in the Midwest. The city blocks off State Street (a half-mile pedestrian mall in the heart of Madison), and the downtown area is flooded with fun-seekers for this evening extravaganza. Every year, thousands upon thousands of costume clad people descend on the city to have a wild time they will surely never forget.

In 2013, Freakfeast boasts three music stages with performances by Chiddy Bang, Matt and Kim, and Sexy Ester, just to name a few. Whether you decide to hang around the music stages, enjoy one of State Street’s delicious restaurants, or pull up a chair at your favorite watering hole, Freakfest will surely be a spook-tacular evening for all.

However you decide to partake in Freakfest, be sure to wear a killer costume. There is a crowd voted costume contest at the end of the night, with winners in many categories including scariest, funniest, and most creative. Come spend the evening in downtown Madison, and enjoy awesome music, delicious food, and some of the best people watching you can find!
