Breakfast on the Farm

One of the best things about weekends is eating out for breakfast. Usually this happens at a favorite local restaurant, but if it’s Springtime or Summertime in Wisconsin, some of the best weekend eating “out” experiences are found on the farm!

June is Dairy Month

Both the National Dairy Council and the Midwest Dairy Association honor the month of June as Dairy Month and, with Wisconsin being crowned the nation’s official Dairy State, the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has worked extensively to help people discover firsthand what makes Wisconsin’s dairy products so special!

Located on various family dairy farms throughout the state, Wisconsin’s Breakfast on the Farm events offer the opportunity to sample country hospitality, enjoy a fantastic home-cooked meal and reconnect to the rich source of our bountiful sustenance! Experience sizzling scrambled eggs, golden hashbrowns, ham and, of course, ice cold milk, while getting an introduction to the places, people and animals involved in getting food to the table. Most locations also include wagon rides, petting zoos and live musical entertainment – fun for the entire family!

So leave the city and those citified restaurants behind for a good old-fashioned Breakfast on the Farm! Here are just a few of the spots you can visit to join in this deliciously delightful tradition!
