Events Offering Sleigh Rides Around Wisconsin
Posted on: 11/1/2013
There is no more festive and magical way to enjoy the holidays and the beauty of the season than by taking a sleigh ride. Create family memories your loved ones will never forget by enjoying a sleigh ride at one of these events happening around Wisconsin this winter.
Christmas Walk – Boulder Junction
A weekend of holiday fun for the whole family! In addition to sleigh rides on Friday, other events include a craft fair, Christmas Karaoke, Friends of Library Cookie Walk, and of course, the arrival of the guests of honor, Santa and Mrs. Claus on Main Street. Saturday is Kid’s Day, and the fun continues with children’s activity stations, a kid’s shopping house and lunch with Santa.
Christmastime in the City – Eau Claire
Christmas is in full swing in downtown Eau Claire! A day of family fun is in store for all who attend. Enjoy a sleigh ride while you sip some hot cocoa to stay warm. Lunch with Santa will be the perfect time to convince him you have been nice this year (and whisper in his ear what you to hope find under the tree Christmas morning!).
Santa’s Arrival and Family Day – Chetek
Welcome Santa to Chetek and enjoy a day of family fun! Hot chocolate will keep your hands and bellies warm as you enjoy a free sleigh ride and cookies will keep you as happy as Santa on Christmas Eve. Kids are invited to shop the kids’ corner shopping center.
Christmas in Frederic & Vintage Snowmobile Show - Frederic
Don’t let the name of the event fool you – there are free sleigh rides available for those who enjoy the more peaceful trot of a horse-drawn sleigh and jingle-jangle of sleigh bells over the exhilarating high speeds of a snowmobile. But those who do have a passion for the higher adrenaline winter sports are also in the right place at this event. A vintage snowmobile show will take place as Soo Line Depot/Museum. Other activities include a breakfast with Santa and a Live Nativity in the Community Pride Park.
Sleigh & Cutter Parade – Ashland
A can’t-miss event for those truly captivated by the beauty of sleighs old and new. The event will feature 1800s costumes and antique sleighs. Admission to the event sponsored by the Northwoods Harness Club is free, and there will be food served on the grounds.
