Blockhouse Lake/Hay Creek Hoffman Lake Wildlife Area
Upland forest, conifers, streams, wetlands and the 241-acre Blockhouse Lake combine to create abundant habitat for many birds and mammals. Good concentrations of waterfowl are attracted to Blockhouse Lake during migrations. Mammals include fishers, timber wolves and bobcats. The 13,800-acre state-owned Hay Creek Hoffman Lake State Wildlife Area is north of Blockhouse Lake. You will find ample parking throughout the area.
From Park Falls travel 6 miles east on Hwy. 182, turn north on Blockhouse Lake/Forest Road 153 then west on Lake Road.
