Here at Discover Wisconsin, we are always on the hunt for our next big adventure. Lucky for us, our state has a plethora of outdoor and indoor activities guaranteed to keep your heart pounding!
Our crew has been hearing more about folks scuba diving off the coasts and within the lakes of Wisconsin. With 750 shipwrecks to explore in Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, it’s easy to see why people are drawn to the water. Start at Divepoint Scuba Center in Stevens Point and check out their Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) certified dive center. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced diver, you will love exploring Wisconsin under water!
Get your adrenaline pumping and watch as motocross experts race one another in beautiful Marinette County. The facility is renowned for its well-maintained track, great food and fun family atmosphere. This place is perfect for anyone with a need for speed.
So you’re the “go big or go home” type, eh? You’ll get a big kick out of free-falling over our beautiful state. Head to AtmosphAir Skydiving Center in Fort Atkinson, where owners Bo Babovic and Alex Kolacio have jumped more than 16,000 jumps under their belt – rest assured you’re in safe hands during this extreme adventure.
Alright, so if jumping out of a plane isn’t your thing, I get it. You can still have just as much fun on the ground. Round up a few of your buddies and head to Wisconsin’s largest paintball field, Commando Paintball Sports, which is located just 20 minutes north of Green Bay. The combat zone consists of three fields and many two-story forts.
Zip across five lines strewn from six towers (that’s more than eight football fields!) at Wilderness Canyon Zip Line CanopyTour in the Dells. Zipliners love soaring 60-feet above the canyon and through the tree tops. Fun tip: Pay a little extra for the helmet with the GoPro!
