It’s almost Thanksgiving and we have food on the brain! From our first-rate dinner theaters to our scrumptious supper clubs taste buds are sure to salivate. And with the holidays just around the corner, it’s the season for sampling and sharing. What better way to do that than by enrolling yourself in a cooking class!
L’ecole de la Maison at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake offers a palate-pleaser solo workshop or a five-day course in French cuisine. Their welcoming atmosphere, skilled chefs and a custom kitchen guide you in developing your culinary passion. Or try the Washington Hotel Culinary School on Washington Island. Their variety of classes includes one-hour demonstrations or two-day, hands-on course. Guest chefs are brought in to teach specialties such as bread baking, cooking with chocolate and more.
If you’re less of the doing, and more of the tasting persuasion, be sure to check out some of the great Wisconsin food tours! The Wisconsin cheese tour is a sure-fire pleaser for all ages. Some 60 artisan cheesemakers produce over 600 varieties including one-of-a-kind artisanal, farmstead and organic cheeses.
