Local Chocolate Shops for a Valentine's Day Treat
Last Updated: 12/16/2013
It may be cold in Wisconsin, but we’ve got chocolate to make you melt! Yes, the chocolate gods have smiled down on our great dairy state, and with Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, we want to make sure you give your sweetheart nothing but the best.
Beerntsen’s Confectionary in Cedarburg hand-dips all of their chocolates, and recently introduced a special line of European dark chocolate truffles. A trip to their store takes you back in time as you’re greeted by an old fashioned soda fountain and classic candy cases. Make an impression with a stop to Gail Ambrosius in Madison. Their chocolates are imported from cities around the globe, and the homemade all-dark chocolate truffles are so good they have been known to make customers cry!
There are plenty more sweet stops around Wisconsin, so don’t be in the hurt locker with your significant other. If you’re brave enough, you might even consider the sampling chocolate cheese at the Mars Cheese Castle – now that’s the best of Wisconsin! This entry was posted in Local Foods
