Wisconsin Summer Fun Report: 7/7/11 – 7/13/11
Last Updated: 12/30/2013
There's only 60 days left until Labor Day & that means 60 days left to enjoy summer! Don't waste a second, check out our Summer Fun Report to get the low-down on the best events around the state.
This week, we’re looking forward to the world’s largest outdoor volleyball tournament. Yes, we’re talking the Waupaca Boatride US Open Grass Volleyball Championships (say that 10 times fast)! Held in Oshkosh on the Country USA Grounds, you’ll see over 3,000 players bump, set and spike their way to the top. While you’re there enjoy the onsite campground and live music.
If you’re an art enthusiast you don’t want to miss Art Fair on the Square in Madison. Put on by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, this event features the works of over 500 artists accompanied by live entertainment and, of course, plenty of delicious eats. From sculptures to paintings, hand-made jewelry to tactile treasures, the art is about as diverse as it comes. Did we mention it’s held on Capitol Square? That means you’ll have the perfect view of Madison’s famous State Street!
