A Non Traditional Wisconsin Thanksgiving
Last Updated: 6/28/2013
The holidays are all about family, food, and tradition….and unfortunately, the prep, cooking, and cleanup that come with it. What better reason to change it up this year and escape to Wisconsin for a non traditional Thanksgiving. Here are 3 options to get you started!
#1: Skip the Cooking
Let someone else deal with prep and cleanup while you actually enjoy those around you. The Osthoff Resort has a Thanksgiving Day Brunch that won’t disappoint: Smoked salmon, omelets, cheese, fruit, scrumptious deserts and more! The best part is that after you clean your plate, someone else can actually clean your plate.
#2: Amp Up the Family Time
Round up the relatives and head to Wisconsin Dells. Area hotels and resorts have spacious accommodations for large and small groups alike. The Wilderness Resort for example, has 4 bedroom condos with full amenities for rent, so heck, invite the in-laws….both sets!!!
#3: Layer on the Relaxation
Door County, Bayfield, or Lake Geneva, it’s easy to relax amidst Wisconsin’s natural beauty. Tucked away in a rolling hillside, the Grand Geneva Resort offers a pristine view sure to please. And we can’t forget about Wisconsin’s indoor water parks, because while it’s a blustery 40 degrees outside, it’s a balmy 85 degrees inside the water park at the Country Springs Hotel. Now, that’s what we call roughing it.
So start a new tradition this year! Do something fun, and exciting, and most of all relax! This entry was posted in Things to Do
