Around the World at the West Allis Holiday Folk Fair
Last Updated: 7/1/2013
Experience a whole world of culture in one place, in one day. (Or three days, if you’d like.) This year’s Holiday Folk Fair International in West Allis is November 16th through the 18th. The country’s premier cultural festival has it all: Music. Dance. Food. Arts. Explore the customs and traditions of a variety of cultures, taste regional cuisine, and enjoy art and entertainment from across the globe at this family friendly festival.
Let’s start with music and dance. Artists of all sorts are featured each year in the All Nations Theater and Music Pavilion. Check out the schedule and start planning which talented acts to see.
What’s a fair without food? This one, of course, features traditional cuisine from several countries. There’s sure to be something to suit everyone’s tastes. See the menu for yourself! And if you want to make some tasty treats of your own, get tips on how to prepare traditional cuisine from local chefs at the Callen Construction Cooking Demonstration Stage.
But that’s not all: Browse the Egyptian exhibits on Heritage Lane, see A Revolutionary War encampment reenactment, and participate in the Around the World in 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, November 20th.
