Finding fun activities for the whole family is a breeze in Wisconsin. There are tons of museums to discover, oodles of indoor amusement parks to explore, and kid-friendly activities to enjoy.
Here are a few of our suggestions for family fun this season:
It’s one of the state’s finest zoos and it just happens to be free AND open year-round.
Throw some mittens on the kids, dawn your hats and check out the children’s barn, play area, and of course all of your favorite critters – big and small.
Action Territory is packed with endless activities like laser tag, jump shot basketball, and a full arcade. Re-energize with pizza and burgers between games. Gluten free options are available, too!
Enjoy football history and Wisconsin family fun at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame | Photo Credit: Brian Malloy
Great for families with teenagers, football fans will be captured by the history and legends that can be found in the Packers Hall of Fame. Kids will love the movies and hands-on displays throughout the museum and parents will have fun with the trivia and historic memorabilia. Don’t forget to snap a picture with the Packers’ famed Super Bowl trophies.
Barlow Planetarium offers tons of 3-D movies, special effects, a laser light show, and of course beautiful views of the night sky. You can purchase tickets to see a show for the young and the young-at-heart nearly every day of the week. View the schedule to find one that’s the perfect fit for your children.
Most travelers think “weekend getaway” when they hear Wisconsin Dells, but a day trip during the off season can be just what the doctor ordered at a more affordable price. Show off your bowling skills at Knuckleheads or win your weight in tickets at the arcade. Race around on the indoor go-kart track, ride the indoor rollercoaster and bumper cars, test your balance on the ropes course, and have a ball on many other rides.
All right, now grab the kids and the camera, get out of the house, and enjoy family fun in Wisconsin!
