Furry Friends at a Wisconsin Petting Zoo
Last Updated: 7/1/2013
Are you in for a cute and cuddly weekend? Take a trip to a local petting zoo and learn to milk cows, feed pigs, and maybe perfect your duck quack. (If “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” has taught you anything, you should be an expert by now.)
Here’s where you can find Wisconsin petting zoos near you:
Eugster’s Farm Market and Petting Farm
Situated just outside of Madison, Eugster's Farm Market and Petting Farm lets animal lovers of all ages learn more about farm creatures. Visit the Farm and Wildlife Learning Center, milk a cow, feed sheep, turkeys and more, and even take in a puppet show. At the same time, you can pick up fresh produce at the farmer’s market.
Bear Den Zoo and Petting Farm
Exotic animals and wildlife (including bears, of course) are on view at the Bear Den Zoo and Petting Farm, located in Waterford. Kids will enjoy feeding farm animals and learning more about preserving the wild.
Irvine Park and Zoo
Looking for fun in Chippewa Falls? This free zoo and petting farm features a museum, as well as the Irvine Park Cave and Sunny Valley Schoolhouse, both open for tours. Visit the Irvine Park Zoo and learn more about friendly local wildlife.
So grab a handful of pellets and practice your “moo.” Mister MacDonald is no match for you. This entry was posted in Things to Do and tagged Attractions
