For a fun afternoon with the family, you don’t have to travel far. There are amusement parks, arcades, waterparks and play places dotted all over Wisconsin. You’ll find a few of our picks below, from timeless attractions to a high-tech indoor complex.

Riverside Amusement Park:For more than two decades, Riverside Amusement Park has been a go-to spot for summertime fun in La Crosse. Tee up a round of mini golf and race go-karts. Winner takes all!

Bay Beach:Bay Beach Amusement Park has been a popular recreation spot since 1910. (Fun fact: Its first roller-coaster attraction opened in 1901!) Take your pack to this Green Bay amusement park and enjoy boats, bumper cars, and a 100-foot slide. And at 25 cents per ride ticket, Bay Beach is a travel bargain. Later, you can tour the park grounds and take in a view of the bay on the Bay Beach Train, a visitor favorite since 1956.

Action City:With rides, arcade games and a rock-climbing wall, Action City is the perfect weekend getaway. Located in the Metropolis Resort in Eau Claire, Action City also boasts an indoor go-kart track -- making it a great rainy day destination for the family. Visitors are welcome for the day and don’t have to be guests at the hotel.

Little Amerricka:Boasting 26 attractions, including the Whiskey River Railway, Little Amerricka offers big fun to the Madisonregion. Bring the family, pack a picnic, and enjoy a ferris wheel, bumper boats, and parachute tower.

Breaker Bay Waterpark: Blue Harbor Resort’s 54,000-square-foot indoor water park and entertainment area is a year-round destination in Sheboygan. You don’t have to stay at the resort to enjoy slides, tubing and climbing ropes.
