Day 86: Wisconsin Adventure Sports

Few things truly get my heart racing: An archaeological discovery, cracking the spine on a new textbook or a fresh crumpet griddled to perfection. However, a new addition recently was added to my list: Skydiving!

I recently visited Skydive Adventure, Inc. in Omro, Wisconsin. One might wonder why a noted archeologist such as myself would be drawn to such a place? Well, I am determined to explore every aspect of Wisconsin culture to prove beyond doubt that this state is the origin of fun. Now, as I have little-to-no experience on gracefully descending from 11,000 feet in the air, my jump was “tandem”. This is when one enters a free fall strapped to an experienced instructor in a dual harness. Even with the extra precautions in place, I felt quite a rush! From ATV-ing to Hang Gliding, Wisconsin is quite the hub for adventure sports.
