As the owner of Noah’s Ark, “America’s Largest Waterpark,” one might think it would be hard to take a vacation from Wisconsin Dells, “The Waterpark Capital of the World,” but my family and I manage to pack our summer full of Wisconsin fun!
With having only one day off a week, we have done as many activities as possible during our summer. One of the highlights included visiting Milwaukee and enjoying the Milwaukee County Zoo. We stayed at The Country Springs Resort and enjoyed the indoor waterpark included with our stay. The girls in the family made sure that we squeezed in some shopping at Mayfair Mall too.
We also ventured up to Green Lake where we stayed at the beautiful Heidel House. We spent the day on a speedboat, cruising the clear waters of Green Lake, and then later had a scrumptious meal at Grey Rock.
My family and I had so much fun in Milwaukee that we decided to take another trip there again! This time we came for an evening Brewers game. Go Brewers! The game was tons of fun and we really enjoyed this family activity. The next day in Milwaukee consisted of visiting the Wisconsin State Fair for the first time. This experience was so much fun that we will be making the State Fair an annual summer event!
A great ending to our summer fun was taking in the season opener of the Green Bay Packers. The game was a great start to the football season! It’s great that Wisconsin is packed with so much fun. We can’t wait for all of the fall and winter activities to come!
