Weekend Activities in Wisconsin
Last Updated: 6/26/2013
It’s a big weekend in Wisconsin when it comes to outdoor winter fun! Family-friendly and action packed, if you’re looking for something to do here are a few events to try on for size.
For good old fashion family fun, head to Jack Frost Fest in Spooner this Saturday. Enjoy turkey bowling, a pond hockey tournament, ice fishing contest, antique snowmobile show, raffle, *gasp for more breath* open ice skating, dog sled rides and plenty of food. The downtown area has free movies, a rib and chili contest, and other activities. For more information click here.
For the nature lover, check out Bald Eagle Watching Days in Prairie du Sac this Saturday. Take in the awe-inspiring view as dozens of eagles fish the open waters of the Wisconsin River. Additional activities include a “Birds of Prey” educational show, guided bus tours, wildlife photography seminar, Native American legends, and aerial antics. For more information click here.
For the speedster, the World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River is chalk full of excitement! As the world’s premier snowmobile racing event, 1,400-plus entries compete in front of 30,000 spectators. Watch the race outside with other eager derby fans or inside to enjoy hot seats or private suites. For more information click here.
Yes, cold and snow are no match for fun in Wisconsin. The only problem now, is deciding which event to visit! This entry was posted in Things to Do
