Make the Season Bright with a Wisconsin Sleigh Ride
Last Updated: 1/27/2013
This season, the jingle of sleigh bells aren’t just reserved for Christmas songs. You can hear the jubilant sound as you dash through the snow on your own sleigh or carriage ride, right here in Wisconsin. Whether it’s with your sweetheart, your friends, or the whole family, you’re sure to find holiday cheer on these classic rides.
Doberstein’s Express in Withee
Bring a group as small as two or as large as forty and hop aboard a sleigh ride through the peaceful Chequamegon National Forest. Further the fun with hot chocolate, cookies and a bonfire. If you get a bit chilly, step into the warming shed and you’re sure to feel toasty in no time.
Mayberry’s Carriages in Sturgeon Bay
These nostalgic, narrated sleigh rides or wagon rides are perfect for groups year round. You’ll follow old logging trails as you glide through the woods, before returning to sample wines and ciders, all made on site.
Brandt’s Sleigh & Wagon Rides in Antigo
Glide away on a two-hour tour of perfectly groomed trails. Riders are welcome to bring food or beverages for a post-ride cookout over a bonfire. Tables, fire and grills are provided. If you ask, you might even get Santa Claus to drive the sleigh.
Rocking L. Acres Sleigh Rides in McFarland
Just five miles outside of Madison, watch horses being hitched up for your own winter sleigh ride. Warm up afterwards by a toasty wood-burning stove and enjoy hot beverages, cookies and stories from your driver.
Bulitz Carriage & Sleigh Rides in Kohler
Enjoy the beauty of a carriage ride without enduring the cold in Bulitz’s heated, enclosed carriages, departing from the American Club. If a sleigh ride is more your style, head to the Bulitz Farm for a snowy dash across 40 acres. Then warm up by the indoor fire with a cup of cocoa.
Cabin Ridge Rides in Cadott
These sleigh rides don’t just go the whole nine yards, they go the whole 400 acres along Paint Creek. Snag some goodies at the gift shop and enjoy year ‘round catered picnics in the pavilion and beside the bonfire. Want to really throw a party? Two log cabins can house catered parties of up to 400.
Get carried away and cozy up in one of these carriage or sleigh rides without having to hold the reins. This entry was posted in Winter Activities
