Six Wacky Winter Wisconsin Sports
Last Updated: 2/25/2014
If you think winter in Wisconsin is all about ice fishing, skiing, snow tubing and snowshoeing, well, you’re right. BUT, Wisconsin also offers some snow-tacular sporting activities that are a little out of the ordinary and a whole lot of fun. Even though some of these events might have already come and gone, it’s never too early to start practicing for next year.
1. Outhouse Racing – Medford
Using the commode, your team can push its way to victory.
2. Snow-waterboarding – Bruce
Why end your run with a swish when you can make a splash.
3. Barstool Racing – Drummond
This time it’s okay to feel like your barstool is moving.
4. Bike Toss on Ice – Fish Creek
Because riding your bike on ice just doesn’t make sense.
5. Kite Skiing – Any snow-covered open area
You can catch big air while catching big air.
6. Ice Bowling – Balsam Lake
It’s bowling on ice, so we’ll spare you the details.
What wacky winter activities do you enjoy? We’d love to hear about them in a comment below. This entry was posted in Winter Activities
