Celebrate National Zoo and Aquarium Month
Last Updated: 12/18/2013
Lions, tigers and bears, oh my! June is National Zoo and Aquarium Month, and lucky for you, Wisconsin has plenty of locations where you can celebrate.
From aquariums to zoos, petting zoos to farms, a stop with the family makes a great daytrip or weekend adventure. As always, you'll find a full directory of zoos on our website, but here are some of our favorites:
- While donations are welcome, the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison is one of the few U.S. zoos that's still free. Celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year, stop by for yoga, concerts, barbecues, workshops and, of course, all of your favorite animals!
- Immerse yourself in a world of water at Discovery World in Milwaukee. See aquatic life from the Great Lakes, North Atlantic and the Caribbean. You can even interact with stingrays, sea urchins and more!
Which Wisconsin zoos have you visited? Share your favorites (and favorite memories) with us below! This entry was posted in Zoos
