Located in central Wisconsin, Adams County offers a wide variety of outdoor activities year round. Home to the second and fourth largest lakes in Wisconsin, Petenwell and Castle Rock Lakes, you'll find great fishing, swimming and boating at both places. State and county parks provide opportunities for hiking and camping in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. Hunters and trappers are attracted to the area by the bountiful wildlife inhabiting the county. The Van Kuren Trail and Quincy Bluff and Wetlands Natural Area are also in Adams County and should not be missed.
