The Door County Coastal Byway is a 66 mile route offering visitors the opportunity to explore all shores of the beautiful peninsula extending into Lake Michigan. The Byway begins near Sturgeon Bay following State Highway 57, extends to the very trip of the Peninsula near Gills Rock and then heads back to its starting point down the other side of the peninsula following State Highway 42.
This scenic and historic route features a host of activities and places to visit along the way. There are three state parks, ten county parks, and numerous lighthouses all worth exploring. Recreational opportunities, shopping, cherry and apple orchards, and the historic picturesque towns and villages on the peninsula all make this a very unique destination you and your family won’t soon forget.
