The Trail is groomed and tracked offering both traditional and skate ski style. The trail weaves its course through changing scenery dominated by maples, birch, pine and hemlock. The trail oversees two river basins: the Prairie flowing west, and the Hunting flowing east. On the eastern leg the view overlooks a vast black spruce swamp which extends all the way to and beyond Elcho. The far end offers three fun hills: the Luge, the Expressway and the Muskellunge. Moccasin Lake has a separate snowshoe trail that is packed.
