Stockholm, Pepin and Alma

Located among the most spectacular views on Lake Pepin, Stockholm brims with exceptional fine art & craft, delectable foods, a charming museum, antiques & collectables – all in an enchanting Swedish village with a unique sense of style. Seven miles to the south, Pepin is named for a strikingly wide expanse of the Mississippi known as Lake Pepin. The town is famous as the hometown of “Little House in the Big Woods” author Laura Ingalls Wilder, who was born on a farm near here in 1867. Alma is the largest of these three riverfront towns. Built between the river and its towering bluffs, it has just two streets - but they’re both seven miles long. Nearby, Rieck’s Lake Park is a perfect spot to view the annual fall migration of thousands of graceful Tundra Swans.

Stockholm, Pepin and Alma includes:

Alma Bay City
