Antigo Bass Lake Country Club was founded in 1926, a design of architects Louis Jedleck and Larry Packard. Additional course upgrades were completed in 2001. The course is cut out of the deep northwoods with oak and pine trees lining the well manicured fairways. The front nine is tight while the back nine is hilly with water coming into play on at least seven of the eighteen holes. With four sets of tees, golfers of all abilities will enjoy the course. The more accomplished golfer will need to be accurate from the 6308 yard par 71 back tees. This challenge requires position play to adapt to the blind holes, water hazards, sand traps, woods, and environmental areas. The course is nestled in the woods revealing many beautiful views and abundant wildlife. The roughs, fairways, tees, and greens are always well maintained by Superintendent Dave VanAuken and his staff. Dick Hilger is the General Manager and Bryan T. Morgan is the Director of Golf Operations. Bass Lake Golf Course is easily one of the best kept secrets in the northwoods!
