23rd Annual Tent Raising at Big Top Chautauqua

May 17, 2008

Bayfield

This event is free and open to the public. Please call or email to let us know you're coming. The fun begins at 7:00 AM as we unroll the giant balls of canvas. By 10:00 or so we normally have the big top rising off the ground. After a break for lunch we complete the truss work while beginning to hang the sidewalls. By about 4 or 5:00 we are ready to share in the hard-won feeling one only gets following a good day of effort. (bragging rights included) As Warren Nelson has repeatedly said, "who else on earth is doing something like this today?" You can rest assure your honest answer will be, "No one!" Bring gloves and do a little stretching beforehand. Lunch will be provide for the workers. If you have questions, please call Phillip at 715-373-5240 Website www.bigtop.org Details Address
