The Art+Fire08 project will include a wooden "Fire Castle" sculpture built in the Stockholm, Wisconsin, Village Park using recycled and clean waste materials, and a display of handmade paper lanterns created by community members in a series of hands-on workshops. At the conclusion of the construction process, the fire sculpture will be burned at the culmination of a day-long celebration of lantern displays, lantern-making mini-workshops, live music in the park, and fire dancing by Illumination Fire Troupe.
