John Hiatt is an American rock guitarist, pianist, singer and songwriter. He indulges in a variety of musical styles including New Wave, blues and country. Hiatt is best known for his 1987 album Bring the Family. One of the cuts from the album, “Have a Little Faith in Me,” has been covered by a number of artists including Joe Cocker, Jewel, Mandy Moore and Bon Jovi. Bonnie Raitt brought another cut off that album, “Thing Called Love,” to #11 on the U.S. charts with her 1989 release Nick of Time. Altogether, Hiatt has released eighteen studio albums and two live albums, and has been nominated for eleven Grammy Awards.
