This "Greatest Story Ever Retold" is based on the Cotton Patch version of Matthew and John in which the Gospel is presented in a setting of mid-20th century, rural Georgia. With an innovative use of stage sets and props, this two-person adaptation starring stage and screen actor, John Chase, is a powerful and inspiring musical that takes a joyous look at the gospel account through a very modern lens. Over twenty songs, written by the legendary Harry Chapin, are presented in the bluegrass style befitting the play's setting. It's an entertaining, lively show that will get your toes tapping, lift your spirits, and renew your hope.
