Desperate to find money for his floating crap game, Nathan Detroit bets Sky Masterson a thousand dollars that Sky will not be able to take a local Salvation Army girl, Sarah Brown, to Cuba. He loses the bet, but gains a new life. A colorful rendition of some of the city’s more picturesque characters of the time. One of the greatest successes of the Broadway Theatre, Guys and Dolls, opened in 1950 and ran for 1,200 performances. It is the winner of 15 Tony Awards. Directed by Nancy Scobie with musical direction by Jerry Way.
