Illusions in Art for Young Eyes
November 15, 2008 - January 18, 2009
Wausau
55 works by Maryland trompe l'oeil painter Eric Conklin reveal the wonders of illusion seen in the traditional style of Dutch artists. Today, using a perspective box, conical mirrors, anamorphic cylinders, and the mathematical rhythm of the Golden Mean, Conklin creates paintings that fool the eye and create wonderful "Aha" moments for all ages. After all, illusion is all in the eye of the beholder.
