It's a big night for the Cleveland Opera. Famed opera star, Tito Morelli is to perform. Through a series of mishaps he gets a double dose of tranquilizers. He is thought to be dead, so a lowly assistant is coerced into impersonating "Il Stupendo." Of course, Tito isn't dead and we are left with a rollicking farce of mistaken identities and "who's been told what by whom!"
