Monona
Visitors will walk the grounds of the center and be taken through the history of maple syruping. Naturalists will tap maple trees and collect sap in buckets to make the syrup. Visitors can watch as the sap boils over a large fire. Once the sap is boiled, its water evaporates, leaving just the sweet sap to make into syrup. Visitors can taste the sap, play trivia games, make a craft, participate in pioneer cooking demonstrations and enjoy ice cream sundaes topped with pure maple syrup.
