Mother's Day Tours at the Lincoln Tallman House

May 11, 2008

Janesville

History buffs rejoice! This tour has everything you need to step back in time. The tour of Janesville's award winning historic house museum includes all five levels from the basement to the cupola, all restored to their 1857 splendor. This 26-room Italianate villa style mansion is the only private home still in existence in Wisconsin that can boast Abraham Lincoln as an overnight guest. Also included in the tour are the Tallman Horse Barn and Wilson King Stone House. Guided tours of the 1850s mansion reveal the unique architecture of the building and the lives of the family that occupied it. Tours begin at the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center. Complimentary light refreshments will be available at the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center. Website www.rchs.us Details Address
