Painted History of Fish Creek

May 2 - June 14, 2008

Fish Creek

As Fish Creek celebrates its sesquicentennial (150th birthday), acrylic painter and Fish Creek native Andrea Jauquet takes us to the town of her childhood during the 1950s and 1960s. Many of the scenes she honors in her large-scale works have disappeared with area development in recent years. Jauquet's paintings are joined by the works of plein air artists and former Fish Creek summer residents, Alice Hotz Apfelbach and her brother, Ferdinand Hotz. Their paintings reflect the landscape of Fish Creek for over thirty years, beginning in the 1920s. Website www.peninsulaartschool.com Details Address
