Evansville
What a great weekend event! It's a re-enactment of numerous homefront activities, rather than a battlefield show. The Civil war encampment features soldiers, officers, tents, artillery, and camp followers. Friday evening showcases Civil War talking spirits at Maple Hill Cemetery. Saturday offers infantry, artillery and cavalry demonstrations, lectures, parade, concert, and famous historical figures. Sunday includes demonstrations, church service, famous historical figures, and artillery firings. Come and go as you please. This is a great event for all ages!
