Preserving the traditions of Cajun music while incorporating contemporary lyrics and melodies, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys provide a memorable evening of heart-pounding Louisiana soul music. Under the leadership of founding members Steve Riley and David Greely, the band’s five musicians have extended the Cajun renaissance that began in the 1990s into the 21st century. Their contemporary interpretation of the Cajun music that dates back centuries is innovative and creative while honoring the rich harmonies, ancient ballads, fiddle tunes and swamp-pop of its Arcadian heritage.
