Wife Carrying, Wife Ferrying and Pike Carrying Competitions

As crazy as it may sound, it’s true! Teams of one man and one woman (NOTE: the event’s name is slightly misleading as the woman DOES NOT need to be the man’s wife. A good friend will certainly do:) make their way through sand, water, hurdles and the competition in this ‘heats format’ approximately 150 meter championship event. Wife Carrying competition will start at 11am with heats of 5 or 6 couples battling it out to survive the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the Championship event. The Championship will be held after Wife Ferrying ("wife" in deer carts) and Pike Carrying (kids carrying ‘fluffy’ stuffed fish) Competitions.
