Nature Patterns Workshop
Using a method developed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and later by his secretary and artist Gene Masselink, Taliesin faculty Aris Georges has developed the Nature Patterns workshop as a short version of the full course he teaches at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Nature Patterns is a fun exercise in geometric abstraction and pattern-making by using nature as a reference. The exercise uses geometry as the visual language to generate pattern, and is accomplished in distinct steps, yielding both an interesting process and a finished piece. While the product will be a drawing, the designs generated may be applied afterwards to other media, depending on the artist. Registration required. $225 per person (includes lunches).
