    Main Street Art Works

Main Street Art Works is packed to the walls with an all-member show called ART WORKS, just in time for the Rural Arts Road Trip. The show features work and artistic processes by current MSAW members, Bonnie de Arteaga, Sarah Birschbach, Rae Blom, Pat Filzen and Daniel W. Green. Visit the five artists in their studios during the extended hours of the Rural Arts Road Trip October 10, 11 & 12 while they demonstrate their unique working styles and skills. Bonnie de Arteaga will be carving wood blocks and melting beeswax for her prints and encaustic paintings. Talk to Dan Green about his nostalgic scenes and how he creates his striking Abraham Lincoln portraits based on direct casts of the great president’s face. Watch Pat Filzen carding wool from her own sheep, blending the colors to her unique palette. Hear the backstory on Rae Blom’s toy collage paintings and see how she makes them. Check out Sarah Birschbach’s array of fused glass jewelry and her new acrylic paintings.
