Breadbasket: Seed to Spoon
June 15, 2013 - December 30, 2014Janesville
Discover the diversity of Rock County's food history through the exhibit, Breadbasket: Seed to Spoon at the Rock County Historical Society. Sit in a Samson tractor, shop in our organics produce cart, and take our Dairy quiz to learn more about all the Rock County's culinary scene has to offer. The exhibit is $4 for adults, $2 for children. The Rock County Historical Society's Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center presents a year long program to educate the public about the area's food history while helping area food pantries. The program includes an exhibit, events, and a website offering multimedia galleries, free recipes and healthy eating tips related to Rock County's food traditions. Each month will see a new food focus, and local individuals, families and food businesses are invited to share their cultural and signature culinary creations.
