The Nature of Jewelry Exhibition
Inspiration from plant life provides both lyrical and geometric design possibilities for 30 studio jewelry artists from throughout the United States, Canada and Ireland. This invitational exhibition examines the role botany plays in the creation of jewelry, including symbolism. Each artist will provide a photograph or sketch that reveals the inspiration for one of their pieces on display. About 250 pieces will be exhibited, with the majority of them for sale. A retrospective of the works of Door County master silversmith, Sylvia Youell, will be part of this exhibition.
