After a one-year break, the 6th Kickapoo BRAVE (Bluffs, Rivers and Valley Event) Ride is back by popular demand, now scheduled for Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Gays Mills, Wisconsin. The Sunday Ride will start from the Kickapoo Stump Dodger Campground in Gays Mills, located at 388 Railroad Street. Check-in will open at 6:30 am with a mass start for all routes at 8 am. This year we’ve added a Paddle Challenge on Saturday, August 23, a canoe paddle on the scenic Kickapoo River with “shenanigans” along the way. Participants are encouraged to ride the Aloha Bike Tour in Viroqua on Saturday morning and canoe the Paddle Challenge on Saturday afternoon. Saturday will culminate with food, live music, and a bonfire Saturday evening at the Kickapoo Stump Dodger Campground. Gays Mills is located along the Kickapoo River in Southwest Wisconsin, in the heart of the scenic Kickapoo Valley. All bike routes take cyclists through breathtaking scenery: ridge tops with distinctive panoramic views and deep, lush valley roads.
